Fire and smoke dampers are essential components of a building’s passive and active fire protection systems, helping to limit the spread of fire and smoke through mechanical ventilation systems.
This webinar will provide technicians with a practical understanding of the purpose and operation of fire dampers, smoke dampers and combination fire/smoke dampers, along with their inspection, testing and servicing requirements.
Participants will learn how these systems function during fire events, common faults and defects that may be encountered during routine maintenance, and the compliance obligations associated with ongoing system performance.
The webinar will also cover sub-ducts, including their purpose within smoke management systems, key features to inspect during routine servicing, and common issues that may impact performance.
Designed for fire protection technicians, maintenance personnel, facility managers and building operators, this session will provide practical knowledge to support the effective inspection, testing and maintenance of fire and smoke control systems.
