The Victorian Building Commission is encouraging any individual who has installed a private bushfire shelter or bunker prior to 11 Nov 09 to engage a Registered Frie Safety Engineer to inspect it and ensure it is fit for the purpose of providing refuge in the event of bushfire.

FPA Australia Signs Contract for Ongoing Ozone Project

FPA Australia will continue to operate as the implementing agency for those parts of the Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Management Act 1989 that relate to the fire protection industry. The Association has signed a contract with DEWHA to provide ongoingn services.

FPA Australia Plans US Study Tour 2010

US Study Tour 2010

In 2007, the Association ran a very successful inaugural study tour to the east coast of the USA, coinciding with the NFPA conference and providing site visits and the opportunity to meet with US counterparts.

Next year's proposed study tour is again coinciding with the NFPA conference, being held in Las Vegas, as well as visits to Los Angeles and San Francisco. Leisure time will be provided, allowing participants to visit major tourist attractions in the area and slightly further afield.

The tour will proceed subject to interest levels - so if you are interested, please let us know by emailing events@fpaa.com.au
